Affirmation #6 - I am proud of the love that we are and have together

Ali ~ I have respect for the love that we have nurtured for 17 years, even though we didn’t always give it the attention it required, it remained intact and strong because it was real.  Like a tough little plant, some years it did better than others, some years it blossomed and bore fruit, and others it yielded very little.  Today, our little plant is growing new shoots because we are fertilizing it with attention, enthusiasm, and creativity.  Thank you for having green thumbs my beloved!

Throughout our years we have maintained a continuous spiritual dialogue - both of us in love with Mother/Father God - curious about the mysteries of Life and metaphysics.  I love that we always nurtured that and are committed to being on the green growing edge of our own becoming.

I am proud of the love that we are and the Us that we are becoming by tending and caring for each other, our family, and our life.  Energy flows where attention goes

Michael ~ My love as I contemplate the love that we are, have, and make up together, I smile :)  It warms me and makes me proud of what we have.  Using the mantras, "I love this!" and "No thing in between us," has helped me to clear out the distortion that was once in-between you and me.  Today I see you clearly and am focused on US.  Knowing that you are there for me, receiving my signal and giving back to me, is highly motivating for me to be and to do the same.

I especially get joyful and delicious juices flowing when I think about us communicating clearly and playing together...

Affirmative Journey ~ Day 5 ~ Wonderful Breakthrough

Day #5 ~ Together we consciously breath love energy into existence through and as us right now.

As I contemplated today’s affirmation I realized that just 12 days ago I thought that the door of our relationship was inches from closing, it felt cold and lifeless - heavy and difficult.  It is amazing how less than 2 weeks later so much has changed.  With a slight shift in perspective the view changes and everything looks different - new and fresh.  Sharing these affirmations have helped me shift my focus of attention.  I still have moments of doubt and wonder if it is safe to open my heart, to be vulnerable - and Spirit says, “Opening your heart is natural - just do it - trust your heart.”  I LOVE THIS!

I have learned much about myself during my “dark night of the soul” journey I have been on over the last year.  At the time I felt that I was loosing, that things were being taken away from me.  But what I realized is that I was really gaining mySelf; qualities, such as compassion and respect for myself and others, a sense of independence and inner strength, and a greater appreciation for life.  Life gave me more because I had released much of what was holding me stuck in my pain.  What felt like a break-up or break-down was really a wonderful breakthrough!

Together we consciously breath love energy into existence through and as us right now ~ We are breathing love energy into our relationship, our family, our life.  And as we have committed to do this together we change our family history!  I love that we are writing a love story for our children and grandchildren.  I love that we live by choice and not by chance.

I breath in love, I exhale love, I speak words of love and I know that my thoughts create.  Beloved, I love that you care about me and that you think about us.  I am thinking of you now, wondering what you are dreaming about, good night beloved.

Affirmative Journey ~ Day Four

Affirmation #4:  I open my hart and allow eternal love to live love through me as me right now.

Ali ~ I ask myself: What is eternal love?  What does it look and feel like to be love?



Ernest Holmes says, “Love is the self-givingness of the Spirit through the desire of Life to express Itself in terms of creation.  Love is a synonym for God.  Love is free from condemnation, even as it is free from fear.  Love is a cosmic force whose sweep is irresistible.”



The idea of Love, is so enormous; I will attempt to understand it more fully.  Eternal love is timeless, never had a beginning and will never end.  Eternal love is infinite, not bound by time and space - it is included in, as, and through everything seen and unseen. Eternal love Life Force Energy - it is the Tao, the natural way of Life. It is Body, Mind, and Spirit - The Thing Itself, The Way It Works, What It Does. 

Love is who and what and why I am!  Sometimes, I don’t seem to remember all this, and I stop operating from an understanding of this Truth, I forget, and I operate from confusion and fear.  Michael Beckwith refers to God as Love/Beauty, I like that.  I participate in Love/Beauty as I am conscious of my ability to do so, or align with It.



With this understanding, I reexamine the affirmation and my question, “What does it look and feel like to be love?”  I am in the small what God is in the large - so I look to the way things are in life for clues.  How does Love operate?  It has a desire to be, to express.  It is in a constant state of change, yet It is always the same.  It is irresistible, attractive.  It is both logical and illogical.  It is unpredictable because it is not bound by person, place, time, situation.  It is available to all people but misunderstood by most.  I think of the Tao Te Ching (translated by Stephen Mitchell:)



The tao that can be told

is not the eternal Tao.

The name that can be named

is not the eternal Name.



The unnamable is the eternally real.

Naming is the origin
of all particular things.



Free from desire, you realize the mystery.

Caught in desire, you see only the manifestations.



Yet mystery and manifestations

arise from the same source.

This source is called darkness.



Darkness within darkness

The gateway to all understanding.


I open my hart and allow eternal love to live love through me as me right now.

With my barely acceptable language concerning such an indescribable topic, I conclude:

I will keep my thoughts turned inward to Love/Beauty.  I will express myself in ways that communicate my Love/Beauty.  I will honor what feels good - what feels life affirming - what feels positive - what feels Holy.  I will move away from thoughts, words, people, situations, and circumstances that feel “off” and distract me from being the presence of Love.  My love will not stop - but I will not source dead things with my Life Force Energy, I must say “no” when I feel my energy is being drained.  I will reexamine my options, and ask, “where is my attention best received?  How can I serve and support life?"  I will trust my internal guidance - the Tao within, my Higher Self.  Where can I grow more Love/Beauty?  I will readjust my focus of attention so that I can best give my unique expression of Love.



I am only here for Love, and I share It abundantly, and my life becomes Love/Beauty.

Michael ~ Allowing and surrender, being the presence of the love energy that is who and what we are, but allowing this love to express through me is key.

The same is true when loving another and loving us as a couple.  Releasing and surrendering into the eternal love expressing through us, in us, and as us.

Affirmative Journey ~ Day Three

Affirmation #3: Right here and now I feel the closeness and love energy I have for myself, my beloved, and us as a couple.

Ali ~ Right here and now: I am present in this moment, rooted in the point of creation. It is here that I activate the energy of love in my mind - in my body. I feel it warm and alive.

I feel the closeness and love energy: I am love energy. My every thought is mingled with love and appreciation - this energy, this feeling is closer than close - it is every cell, atom, neuron, substance of my being.

For myself: I love my Self - that which is wise and powerful. I am love energy made manifest - I am alive, awake, and vibrant. I am passionate as I show up in the world, sharing my gifts and receiving gifts.

For my beloved: I love you, my chosen life partner - that I choose over and over again in my heart and mind. I give my beloved my full measure of love and support each moment - I know love is infinite and eternal and active as me.

For us: Two individuals choosing to walk life's path together activated in love energy. We focus on breathing life into US with each breath we breathe. We hold each other in high regard, physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically, and spiritually - and for this we are blessed. We are unique and wonderful and activate love energy in others through our example.

I love us and I am proud to walk beside you Beloved.

Michael ~ Myself - I love the life divine.  Know and understand I am It showing up through and as me, I smile in gratitude as a sign of my willingness to allow this and to dance this dance fully here and now.

My beloved - I see you, know who you really are and smile to you as an acknowledgment of my acceptance of you and gratitude for your willingness to express and shine your light and joy with me and others.

Us as a couple - I feel our common love for us.  Our desires to grow this into pure bliss and magnificence.  I’m happy we found each other and proud to provide stably for us.  Love you.

Affirmative Journey ~ Day Two

Affirmation #2:  Consciously we activate our awareness of the common energy that we have, that we are individually, and are as a couple.

Ali ~ I pondered our commitment to each other, not allowing anything to get in between us.  We established the desire to care for each other and the budding energy that was forming by nurturing it with kindness and consideration.  Sending each other text messages that shared our thoughts about us and one another - "nothing in between" "longing for your touch" "mmmmmm" - little nothings or little somethings, just sweet simple caring words that opened me up to wanting...

Michael ~ I’m feeling connected to us as a couple and am looking forward to connecting our energy, growing it, and spending time on our wedding rock in Big Bear Lake next week.  I especially love feeling the life energy we create together when we’re communicating love language through our physical connection.  I love to make love to you!  I want you...

Life As I Knew It Was Over...

I have been with my beloved for 17 years and this year we experienced a shift - everything seemed to fall apart.  Life as we knew it was over.  For several months we had no income; he changed careers and would be gone for months at a time; we became "empty nesters;" we moved from the home we built in the countryside to a small rental home in the city.  I felt alone, sad, and confused, but inspired to make the best of my new life and to thrive.  

So, we decided to "work" on us.  I share this personal journey in the hopes that it will help others that are going through similar situations.  We did a lot of talking about our marriage, what was working and what wasn't.  We shared our dreams and desires; our tears and our pain.  We were more honest with each other than ever before, we both felt that our marriage required a much deeper level of spiritual integrity.  We started off with a plan that each of us would write 7 affirmations, and over the course of 2 weeks, (the time he was away at work) we would meditate or contemplate one a day and share our discoveries with one another.  Below is Day One of our 14 day affirmative journey - I will share all 14 - thanks for reading and I hope this inspires you.

Love ~ Ali 

Affirmation #1:  I love this!
Ali ~ All day long, as often as it came to mind, I stated to myself "I love this!"  Whether I was walking, reading, cooking, painting, talking, etc... I would say "I love this" and my mood lifted, my attitude changed, and I felt lighter, happier, appreciative, and more grounded and present.  I found that as I changed my inner environment, my outer world changed for the better.  As I focused on my relationship with an "I love this!" mindset, I found myself thinking about us being together, sharing a meal, jogging, cooking, raking leaves - the simple things that make us "Us."  I LOVE THIS LIFE!

Michael ~ Mmmmm ~ All my love and energy at this moment is with you in appreciating us together enjoying ourselves fully.  Nice energy flowing between us - connective energy.  Nothing in between us.  I love this and let’s allow the love that we are to flow freely and expand daily.  I love you!  Love us and love this.
