Many set out on a quest, a spiritual path, seeking enlightenment; looking and searching for meaning, understanding, and connection with the Mystery and thinking that over time they will arrive.
The Wise realize there is no beginning to the journey, neither is there an ending; and enlightenment is a false illusory destination.
The "Now" is where one begins and ends. The "Now" is eternal and infinite with no beginning or ending. Being conscious of this IS the destination.
